Where Did My Data Go?
It lets visitors explore email traces, open individual messages, and build a profile by answering a short questionnaire.
What we built
The installation presents a field of email traces from one account. Visitors can select a trace to open one of five real email records, read it, and continue exploring. Each opened trace is removed from the field. After exploring, visitors answer a short questionnaire and generate a printed profile of the person they think the emails belong to.
How it decides
The system randomly assigns each selected trace to one of the five available email records. The questionnaire records the visitor's own choices and places them into a printable profile. The system does not interpret the answers or generate a profile for the visitor.
What it does not know
The installation does not know whether the visitor's profile is correct. It does not infer age, gender, personality, or other characteristics automatically. The information shown comes from the email records, while the final profile is entirely the visitor's interpretation.
